David Graham is the Care Leavers' Association National Director. David recently joined the CLA in October 2010. David will be working closely with the Executive Committee to develop and implement the CLA’s long term strategy to ensure it fully meets its mission and objectives.

Based in Manchester he coordinates the work of our staff team and manages the day-to-day operations of the CLA. However, the post is national so he will often be travelling throughout the UK to deliver training, attend conferences or meetings and promote our campaigns. David is the first port of call for enquiries from the media.

David does not have direct experience of being in care but has worked closely with care leavers throughout an extensive career in the voluntary sector and has direct experience of the adoption process. His employment history includes spells working within supported accommodation and delivering outreach services to young people. Most recently David was an Assistant Director at the Big Life Group working to empower disadvantaged groups to help themselves and focusing on areas such as homelessness, employment and improving mental health and wellbeing.
