INCAS needs you to give us strength in numbers for our March on the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday 29th November 2011.
We plan to take the message to the MSPs that our road to justice has been too long. On that day we will provide a 57 seated coach from Buchanan Bus Station Glasgow to Edinburgh, leaving at 11-45am prompt. Try and be there early or you may be left behind. We will march from the Court of Session Edinburgh to the Scottish Parliament – just a short walk down the Royal Mile.
At 2pm on the day, Mr. Duncan Wilson, Head of Legal Services, Scottish Human Rights Commission, will tell the Petitions Committee of the Scottish Parliament how his Human Rights framework can ensure that survivors in Scotland will finally be able to get justice, redress and accountability for the abuse they suffered while in care as children.
The INCAS message is clear, WE WANT JUSTICE NOW! Scottish survivors are still suffering from the legacy of their abuse and have not yet had access to justice because the laws on “Time Bar” and “Legal Aid” are working against them.
Yes, it has been a very long road to justice, but you can join us in the last few steps from the Edinburgh Court of Session to Parliament. We need to be seen and heard by the Scottish People. We have been waiting long enough for Our Government to give us the same justice which other countries have afforded their Victim’s of abuse.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to join us on the march and take your message to the Scottish Parliament. Together, “we can make them listen”. Telephone: Frank: 01355-901-857 or Helen: 01389-606-854 email: enquires@incas.org.uk Website: www.incas.org.uk
