In an article for Children and Young People yesterday, Government launches national contract for fostering, Lauren Higgs reported on the launch of a new national contract for fostering by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).

The contract has been designed to allow local authorities to compare services within the private sector and to find the most appropriate placement for a child.
