Venture Trust is a voluntary organisation that helps young people make positive choices in their lives through community and residential based personal development courses.

 The Inspiring Young Futures programme aims to help vulnerable, hard-to-reach young people who are in or leaving care and young carers aged 16-19, make a successful transition into adulthood and independent living.   The programme consists of a series of flexible phases which can take place over a period of 12-18 months.  These phases incorporate exploration of local opportunities and services alongside wilderness-based activities to allow a young person to build confidence, motivation and aspirations and equip them with a range of fundamental life skills, to support them when making educational or career choices. The programme consists of the following phases;

High Peak Lib Dems support CLA call for an apology for all who suffered abuse in care PDF Print E-mail

The CLA is currently running a General Election campaign to get all election candidates to show their support for a government apology to all care leavers in the UK who have experienced abuse, of any kind, whilst in care as children.

High Peak Liberal Democrat candidate, Alistair Stevens, has been the first to confirm his support.

In the lead up to the General Election on 6 May 2010, the CLA is calling on all election candidates to show their support for a government apology to all care leavers in the UK who have experienced abuse, of any kind, whilst in care as children.

'Virtually Helping' Research Project PDF Print E-mail

Duncan, who runs SurvivorsManchester, is conducting research into the use of virtual sources of help for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
